Egonet (ego-centric network) approaches utilize survey and interview data collection in ways that are familiar to non-network social researchers. They are different, however, in the question format they use, the substantive content of the questions and the choice of analytic tools they use. They are linked to continuing investigations and theorizing about social capital.
